General Data Protection Regulation

Dear members and friends of our church,

The European Union has recently adopted laws regarding the protection of privacy, called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). They are also applied in The Netherlands.
As church council we like you to be assured that the personal data we have of you (name, address, telephone, email) are safe with us. We will never supply outsiders with your contact details, and we will only use your personal information in accordance with normal church usage, for instance, for inviting you to church events, for mailing you the Grapevine, for personal pastoral reasons, for informing you about activities etc.
We will keep your contact details in our files except if you request us to delete them, when you decide to no longer be connected with us, or when the Lord decides that your time has come for a better life.
We are waiting for our Diocese of Europe to give us further guidelines, and when we receive those, we will inform you - and we will abide by them.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask our Warden and chair of the church council, Monique Wardle-Jansen.
